Shop Your Convictions

Thanks to iddybud for publicizing this: A new website allows you to contribute to progressive causes when you make online purchases. Progressive Depot is the name of the site, founded by Adam Jusko of Lakewood, OH, who decided to act on his political convictions after the 2004 election.
I've long believed in marrying politics and purchasing power, although it's sometimes been hard to do in practice -- except for extreme, no-brainer examples like not buying pizza from Domino's because of the owner's right-wing politics. Adam helps to make it a little easier for us to know whose politics we are paying for. Hats off.
